Dr Alan Turner, Founder of EMS Fusion, has been awarded a Winston Churchill Fellowship to investigate advances in simulation and scenario-based military medicine training. The Fellowship will involve engagement with leading organisations across the United Kingdom, United States, Canada and NATO, with a focus on enhancing clinical training systems for high-acuity and resource-constrained environments.

EMS Fusion continues to develop its capability across clinical systems, training and healthcare consulting. This includes ongoing work in clinical education, system design and the incorporation of emerging technologies such as mixed reality into training environments. The team brings a combination of operational, clinical and design expertise, with a focus on supporting performance in complex and high-acuity healthcare settings.

EMS Fusion draws on extensive operational clinical experience, including provision of medical care in isolated and resource-constrained environments. This includes service as Medical Officer at an Antarctic research station, where clinical decision-making and team performance were required in the context of limited resources and delayed external support.
